The bell tolls on,
for our fallen son.
Bugle plays
another song.
Fields of flags wave
red, white and blue.
We say a prayer
and think of you.
Soldiers bow their heads,
children cry.
Hard to breathe,
stand by their side.
Still in disbelief,
we question why.
Can’t go on,
